Paleo Faliro is a coastal district of South Athens, southwest of downtown Athens. Its area is 4.6 square kilometers, while the length of its beach in the Saronic Gulf is about 4 km. It is about 9 km from the center of Athens (connected to Sygrou Avenue), 13 km from Piraeus Port to Poseidonos Avenue and about 40 kilometers from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos. Paleo Faliro is located on the south side of the Prefecture of Attica and borders to the municipalities of Kallithea (west-north, border with Syngrou Avenue), Nea Smyrni (north-northeast), Agios Dimitrios (east) and Alimos (east-south-east).

It has long beaches and since the beginning of the 20th century it is a busy bathing destination, especially the Eden area, next to Marina Alimos.

Marina Flisvos is a modern one and besides hosting private yachts, it has a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars, thus being an attraction for the citizens of Athens.
