Athens Airport Metro
Athens Airport Metro Line 3 (blue line) covers the route between Aghia Marina, Douk. Plakentias and Athens Airport via Syntagma Square, even many trains also reverse at Doukissis Plakentias.
The trip from Athens Airport to downtown (Syntagma) is about 40 minutes with a 30 minutes’ frequency.

Please bear in mind that metro runs from Athens Airport from 06:30 am to 11:30 pm.
To Piraeus
If you wish to get to Piraeus port, it is possible to do so from Athens Airport by just changing at Monastiraki station, which is the next station after Syntagma, to the green line straight to Piraeus.

Metro line 3 stops at the railway station adjacent to the Main Terminal.
You can get there by an elevated walkway.

Ath.ena Card
By the Ath.ena Card you can get convenient fares to travel to and from Athens Airport.
The card can be used for 90 minutes up to 5 days and is rechargeable. It can be both purchased at any metro station, ticket office and at the automatic ticket machines.
The Anonymous Ath.ena Card is really worth for passengers travelling to Athens since it can be charged and recharged from 90 minutes to 5 days and used to transfer from both metro and bus from Athens Airport.
On the other hand, if your stay in Athens is of less than 3 days, our recommendation is to purchase the 3-day tourist ticket.
