Kalamos is a village in northeast of Attica, south of Oropos and north of Kapandriti. According to the 2011 census, its population is 1.824 inhabitants. Its seaport is the Agios Apostolos, which is a holiday area with high visitation during the summer months. After the liberation of the Greek state, Kalamos was temporarily renamed Perea and was the seat of the newly established Municipality of Perea. Since January 2010, Kalamos joined the new municipality of Oropos.
