The small district of Psyrri is located in the historic center of Athens and is one of the oldest districts in the city. It is around Psirri Square or Iroon Square, which leads to the five important streets of the district: Miaouli Street, Karaiskaki Street, Agioi Anargyroi Street, Aristophanes Street and Aeschylou Street.

Monastiraki Square is directly opposite the southeast corner of the district, at the intersection of Athinas and Ermou Streets, while Agios Asomatos Square and Thissio in its southwest corner.
