Porto Germeno (or Aigostena) is a holiday settlement of Western Attica located on the coast of the Corinthian Gulf at the foot of Kitheronas. It belongs to the Municipality of Mandra – Idyllia (until 2010 in the Municipality of Vilia). Porto Germeno was threatened in 2009 by the devastating fire of western Attica that reached the settlement\’s borders.

Porto Germeno is surrounded by forested mountains: the Cithaeron to the north and the Pateras to the south. Aigosthena was historically the northernmost city of the Megaris. It is 10 km west of Vilia, 20 km southwest of Thebes 48 km northwest of Athens.
